Swindon Schools

On Wednesday 25th November 2009 249 children from Beechcroft Infants, Colebrook Infants, Grange Infants and South Marston primary School attended the key stage one fundamental movement skills festival.

On Tuesday 13th October 2009 St Josephs Catholic College hosted the joint year 5 and 6 football festival. Schools were represented by teams from Holy Family, St Catherine, Grange Junior, St Mary and Holy Rood Junior.

On Thursday 26^th November year 7 visited ‘Next Generation’ at Kembrey Park to take part in a range of interesting and fun activities as part of their ‘Enrichment Day’. Students enjoyed taking part in dance, sports, martial arts, fitness sessions and art workshops.

Swindon partnership introduced x-country as a new competition this year with great success.

On Friday 11th December three schools, South Marston, St Catherine's and Colebrook infants, took part in the gymnastics festival at Esprit gymnastics club.

On 24th February Schools from the Kingsdown and St Joseph clusters were invited to attend the tag rugby cluster competition at Kingsdown School. 

The Partnership held the first Access Day of the year for pupils from Special Schools or Mainstream Schools with units. The event was held at Oasis Leisure Centre on Thursday 26th November and was attended by over 100 pupils.

Thursday November the 4th witnessed the second annual Swindon Girls Active Event. This year the event was held at Next Generation and 150 girls aged 14-16 attended.
